In Australia, where housing shortages have been a concern for many years, we are now pleased to release the Pluredro House. It is a home heavily secured with multiple locks to protect its contents. The number of units available for sale is limited, so if you have been wanting to own a home, please take this opportunity to place your order.
The Pluredro House will likely be the SD puzzle that many people find the most difficult among those we have created so far. In particular, at the tricky and controversial step, we have added engravings using a CNC so that you can tell which tool should be used.
No force or inelegant manipulation is required to solve this puzzle. Please do not hit it, swing it roughly, or dig your fingernails into it. While people with small, slender fingers may be able to use their fingers as tools in some situations, the puzzle has been designed and manufactured with the goal of being operable even by those with thick, large fingers.
Inside the puzzle, we have placed an object that will make it clear that you have successfully solved it. When resetting the puzzle, the enjoyment of discovering an elegant method still remains. If you make a mistake during the reset, you will have to repeat many steps. Try to find a way to reassemble the puzzle back into its original house shape without unnecessary steps.
For the exterior walls of the house, we chose Amoora, which has a texture that makes it resemble a wooden house. For the remaining large parts, we selected timbers that have good compatibility with CNC machining and whose rates of wood movement are relatively close to that of Amoora. For the internal main parts, which are not visible from the outside when assembled, we used PNG Rosewood. All of these timbers were purchased kiln dried. After cutting them slightly larger than the target dimensions, we placed them in our own drying chamber to dry further, then allowed them to acclimate to the workshop environment before machining.
Both the size and weight of the puzzle are slightly greater than those of our previous sequential discovery puzzle, the Tortoise Protocol. Many people have released puzzle boxes inspired by the shape of a house, but among them, the Pluredro House is likely one of the larger and heavier ones. When you hold it, you will certainly feel its substantial heft.
The puzzle is sold assembled. The solution to the puzzle will be provided, upon request, as a link to a video after 1st July.
Do not share the link to the solution video with others or publicly on social media. By watching the solution, it may spoil the enjoyment of solving the puzzle.
