Juno's L7 Notchable

Juno's L7 Notchable

According to great Ishino's website, puzzle will be played, with the maximum level for the unique solution of notchable six piece burr is five. This notchable burr puzzle has a unique level 7 solution. Well, now, how did Juno cheat to increase the steps or moves of the puzzle?

It is easy to disassemble the puzzle, and doing so, you will recognise there are a couple of pins and holes on the puzzle pieces. Juno tried to give minimum modification to an ordinary 6 piece burr and reduced the numbers of solution for the puzzle from 23 to 1.

The material that is used for the puzzle is Bubinga. It is difficult to work with the timber because of its interlocked grain. When he produced 2 x 2 profile stocks for Staggered 12, he prepared lots of extras, scared to lose many of them during the work process. Fortunately, he didn't lose much timber and several meters of stocks remained. He decided to use up the remaining timber stocks and designed this simple puzzle using Burr Tools.

We have only 7 to sell at this moment, but unlike our other puzzle products, we might reproduce the puzzle again when we find reasonable quantities of leftover timber stocks. The size material and price of the puzzle might be different to this current batch though.

The puzzle is sold assembled. The solution to this puzzle will be supplied upon request by Burr Tools file format.
